so, i exercised yesterday. i wanted to do an hour on the exerbike, but i did 35minutes and then 15minutes of arm weights. plus walking. i ate well: bread, almonds, spinach salad, corn chips, enchiladas, pb&j, coffee. woo.
as i was riding the bus, or more waiting for the bus. i was reflecting on how poor the new trimet stops are. there are no benches at a lot of stops, everyone from little kids to elderly i've heard complain about this, and if you lean against a building or sit you can get a loitering ticket. argh. also, they have these ridiculous light things that better be solar panels. i have inspected them, and see other people look in curiousty at them. it appears they are going to have tvs attached for only times of buses i hope. they were half lit when i saw them last night. and my biggest pet peeve, they have these great new signs, but none have the stop numbers on it! so annoying! if you want to call and find out when your bus will be there, you need the stop number. or you can take 5minutes going through the menu to your bus, your direction, your closest main stop and then your stop. freaking annoying! i've been running as needed if i see a bus breaking my 'no running' rule.
at least there are interesting people on the bus. one person i remember; i actually felt really bad for this guy, he was talking with his girlfriend on the phone and she had been over her ex-boyfriends house and he was literally tearing up, it almost made me cry. he looked so sad and sincere, of course i have no idea. another favorite was the guy the was dancing in the aisle. yes, dancing, to punk music but flaying around, i wonder if he was on speed or meth. and then there was this playah that actually asked some young girls if they were 18 and when they said no, he walked away, he was cute and they laughed a lot. one was sitting with me, 2 were in front. i was giggling, too. then this playah got off at the same stop and proceeded to tell me how fine i was and how he wanted to take me home. he loves a thick white woman. as well as 16 year old black young ladies. he had a semi-fro, a toothpick, a sweatshirt that shined in certain light, b-ball shorts, a swagger and a personality. characters.
i have to do stuff today. i don't feel super motivated now. i got up at like 10am bc i stayed up late. either way, i have to do school work and if i don't go out, i have an interview tomorrow and the other place wants one, so i can call back and do all my stuff tomorrow. woot. or maybe i will get energy after more coffee and food and maybe some exerbiking. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

OMG! I love this post.
You should write stories about the bus and turn them into a book. Something David Sedarish. Call it RTD or whatever the name for Portlands busses are.
I'd buy one for each of my friends.
I called you last night with a funny story. Give me a holla when you get a chance.
just recently one of my friends said she thought i would be a good writer a la mr. sedaris, a huge compliment. thanks!
i really want to write a memoir. i think it'll be like short essays that don't necessarily tie together, like david s ;) i actually even have a list of some ideas for stories ranging from when i was a kid and left the house at 2am to 'go to see josie' to colin and i being threatened by a guy with a golf club for no reason. good times.
trimet is portland public transit, tri for three-bus, lighrail and streetcar and met for metropolitan. i actually was thinking of doing a video of the bus. but no one would like that. i wouldn't have the guts to do it. ha
