i finally got my period. that was the longest, worst pms ever and hopefully i feel better over the weekend and super duper on monday.
last day of training was good. i liked the observations we did today. i think i can use it for school, too - bonus! i said a comment really poorly today but then reiterated that the books she offered were good resources but i just had the same info from school. it is fine. no need to over think. and i used some of the resources, just not the books that have lessons all the way written out, i have to keep in mind that not all come from or want a teaching focus and i did. way to not over think. and i have instruments. woot. i need to like actually plan stuff for monday. we really got no planning time and she says she is flex with hours in the first week. i also am going to ask for $12 instead of $11.50 saying that a lot is expected and i deserve it.
child care sucked ass. i think i am going to quit it. after working m-wed and having school work, my days on thursdays will be over 9 hours with commuting with only 6 hours of pay, approx $25extra for 5hours waiting, child care, bussing. it's really disorganized. the person that has been there 3 years is un-good. she left me alone with like 20something kids, twice! 1/2 of the kids don't speak english and clearly don't understand what is going on. i think it would be more valuable to spend it on school or me time or rest up and get a friday all day job. or stop trying so hard and focus on one thing and also make school give me money that is sitting in my account. meh.
i also ate tons and practically and all carbs when the past few days have been better eating wise and have no energy to cook so am eating leftover pizza. when the other days i felt good and wanted to do stuff. ugh. i should do a task analysis, write a response to a discussion question and reply to something someone else wrote. fading fast. i only have an hour and will prolly just do it tomorrow, it's the matter of fractions of points so it really doesn't matter as long as i don't wait past tomorrow, bc i have a shit ton to do this weekend.
i am spending the day with my friend tomorrow. she is transitioning from male to female. we met in group. i had no idea. i thought she was prolly gay but didn't know and didn't care. we became really good friends. she came out and that was cool. then a few weeks later she said something to karapist with me right there, 'i need to get a letter to do m to f' and me being me, i said 'what is that?' and she said, 'male to female.' 'oh.' later she said, 'so i guess i pass, then?' and we laughed =) she had a hair transplant and i helped with the scar and stitches even though it was really tough for me. she just had castration (i guess it is - not reassignment surgery) today and i am gonna watch movies with her tomorrow and chill.
i should really post my photos..................

Wow! I can't imagine how emotionally taxing a surgery like that must be.
Does she feel free or is it hard? Do you talk about it with her? I find the whole thing totally fascinating.
I've noticed that often when you get a job you take on a lot. Full time school with full time work! And then when you feel overwhelmed you become really depressed. So... you're doing well right now. If you feel the balance being messed with, it's okay to let something go. It seems like you know that.
I'm proud of you. Everything seems like it's really coming together. Online school has really been great, right!!!
i find it fascinating, too. she's really open with me and feels comfortable talking with me and i ask questions and stuff.
she's emotional, but i feel like she went through the hardest emotional stuff a few years back when she didn't understand what was going on. one of her therapists suggested she might have gender identity disorder and she thought about it and started hormones, which can be stopped and reversed. she started to feel a lot better and more herself and has continued and is continuing to go forward with transition.
i think now she feels more free than before, she's really excited for all her appointments. of course it's physically taxing and emotionally so too, but she is pretty damn stable for all she is going through.
she does feel concerned about her appearance, but i tell her she was and always will be a woman to me, i seriously didn't question gender. oh and that brings up, in general, orientation isn't changed, like she has always been into women and the other trans gender people i have meet, same case, different gender, same orientation.
yeah, i think i am going to write about child care. i might wait til monday to talk to karapist, but i might not. i don't want to get over-whelmed and i care so i work hard and i need to focus that on school and awesome lesson plans for my new job =)
i am still learning about self discipline. in that i have little or none. i like most that i know exactly what is expected and what things are worth the first day. so i guess it means i know what i can put off, double edged sword.
