we got back to the house and had such a good time! we made yummy food and drink and mellowed and had a wonderful time. we went back to bloom after all the workshops but caught the tail end of some calaypso type music and then the info session about the farm and i learned that they have workshops and offer open spaces to teach workshops all year round. i am going to try to go to some and maybe teach something, what?, i'll figure it out.
we saw and hung out with amazing people. this healer was doing a sage mixture smudge with feathers and leather wrap in american indian style and then carlos got handed it and then i had no idea what to do with this. then the healer did an incredible session on me and my whole body, clearing all my senses and my thoughts. it was very clearing. and then he said "i could tell she needed it" - dammit, i can't ever hide from any healer they can always sense blockage. but everyone is so kind and cares so much and wants to help me and everyone.
SaraTone's set was AMAZING!!! everyone was loving it! she is so talented. this awesome baby was dancing with his pops and i loved them! then STone and i went and hung with some ladies in the forest and i met his mom and she introduced me to her partner and her amazing son, who interacts with people so well already, it's truly incredible. there were fire dancers. another band, alpaca! = guitar, bass, keys and drums which was good, a bit phishy at times but very fun and danceable with great players and a really tight group. the next band, off the grid = trio with basic keys by the guitar player, bass, drum and electronic drums and a bunch of gadgets, they were confusing which i like but also annoying at times. i like weird things and noises in music but not when it gets annoying. they weren't as danceable and i liked their darker, key and bass laden stuff, but they didn't seem to have the crowd.
and then there was a crazy dog with crazy owners and friends that were messing with it and pinning it down and dancing with it and riling it up and i was already uncomfortable, the owner did not have control in the least. then a nice peaceful dog ran up to play, but the other dog fucking attacked him! it was so awful and the aggressive dog would not give up and so many people had to try to help and then the owner of the nice, permed hair dog actually had to punch the dog to have it let go of it's grip. it was really dramatic and really awful. it really soured my mood. so i went in the woods by myself and calmed down ;) i think everyone was ready after that and we left about 1/2 hour before the band ended but got out before all the crowds too bc our car was down where all the people would be leaving from.
here is SaraTone on stage with some peeps watching. i just took a pic from where i was sitting.
here's a blurry night shot
YaY. i am excited for this spring and summer!
