reflection

so. the other day i was in a state where i was freaking out about grad school, 'is this really what i want to do?' i came to the conclusion of 'yes'. that's out of the way.

now that i have no job, yet again, i have many options open to me. i think it'll be better to stay away from working with youngens for a while bc i always get really sick when i work with them. and it only took me how many times to tie the 2 together? also since i'll be in school i'll want something other than what i am studying. i am really looking forward to gaining experience with k-3. i've always pictured kindergarten, but who knows - we'll find out. for jobs, i've looked on craigslist and jobdango, i will start applying tomorrow.

i talked to mel-g about my house in distraught. she was saying that being an admin would be good bc i'm hella organized and i asked why i was so anal at work but home was the opposite and not ony that, but having it so messy bugs me. and she thinks it's a reflection of my life so i was like 'great, my life's a freaking mess!' - haha. but i do think she has a point. disorder and confusion. things half done. stagnant yet wanting change. my house. my life.

karapist can't make it to my place on monday but we'll still have a session. i hope mel-g comes for a cleaning party, fun! she invited me to dinner but i wasn't up to it. i told her i would like to plan something. plans work better for me. especially right now. and i gots to get to the hippies soon. having a social life would be good. and these people know me and won't judge me no matter what. i wrote to tay and she's away at a horse camp til august but we're gonna get coffee sometime after that. i've been invited to craft nights and naked lady parties but haven't made it. i hope to go to one soon. i could have a craft night here, but not the other bc it's too small. that might motivate me to clean.

tomorrow is a new day. job searching. getting food. playing the brain game. seeing people. seeing music. revising and possibly sending out scholarship info. cleaning? heh

how i wish i felt more of the time.

I am sorry about your job.

Have your clean up party. Get it done. I DO agree that the way you feel about your life can be seen by looking around your house. And, as result, cleaning it up, tidying up, putting happy colors all over the place, putting art that you love up on the walls, getting the dust out, giving it fresh air, putting fresh flowers on the tables... can really alter your mood. Home should be a place where everything feels right. It is yours, after all.

Good luck on finding a new job. I think a change of career is a good idea. Have you looked at Marylhurst's hr department to see if they are offering any clerical positions on campus? Like something in the Bursurs office or something like that? It might be nice to work while you're not in class and not have to worry about a long commute and stuff.

hey. yeah. there were some down sides. but thanks. it'd be better than nothing.

yeah, i think having a happier space to be in would help me be more positive

i have looked at mh, they don't have much, but they do post on craig's list when they do have jobs bc i've seen them there. there isn't much around there but from my house i have to go to downtown to get the bus up there. so a se (where i live) or downtown job would be best if there is nothing on campus. i did sign up for work-study so maybe i'll get a bookstore job or something.

thanks, miss you!
